Congress suspends Jagan's aide in Andhra

A statement from AICC in charge of Andhra Pradesh M Veerappa Moily said Ambat Ramababu, PCC General Secretary, has been suspended with "immediate effect for his anti-party activities and making anti-party statements".

Ramababu was recently summoned before the party's disciplinary committee to explain his outburst against Chief Minister K Rosaiah.Quoting the party constitution, he had demanded additional time for replying to the allegations.

However, he was suspended today despite being given time till July-end to file his reply.
Jagan is out now on his controversial "odarpu yatra", going against the reservations of the party high command against the event he has embarked on to emphatize with those who died after his father and former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was killed in a helicopter crash.
