'Withdraw notification on CRC'

 In case of the failure, the official concerned will be responsible for the same, warned Assembly Speaker K G Bopaiah.

Speaking at the 131st annual meeting of Kodagu Coffee Growers Association, he said “the previous Kodagu Conservator of Forest K B Markandeya had issued a notification that CRC will not be of any use after Act came into force and all the CRC should be suspended.”

“If the officials pass similar orders in Kodagu, the district will not remain as Kodagu. We kept quiet when the problem arose in the past,” he added.

The government is giving priority to develop Kodagu. With the Amendment to Karnataka Land Reforms Act, the issue of tree right ownership will also be solved, he added.
