Her enthusiasm and bubbly attitude are infectious, even a bad cold cannot bog down Jennifer Kotwal. Having just completed the first schedule of the Darshan starrer Prince, Jennifer says that she is on a signing spree as she wants to make up for the lost opportunities in 2009. “Last year, I was suffering from a terrible back injury so I couldn’t do the kind of films I wanted to. But this year I am so happy as I have four movies in the pipeline,” Jennifer tells Metrolife.

When it comes to films, she has never been picky. In fact, she says that entertaining audiences is all that she looks  forward to. That was one of the main reasons why she did a film like Eradane Madhuve. “I love entertaining audiences, I don’t mind doing any kind of movie as long as it is entertaining. Even if it’s a Chinese film, I would love to be a part of it, provided it’s entertaining,” she stresses.

Having done romance, drama, and comedy genres, would Jennifer be interested in action? And she immediately responds, “No way. Action is not my cup of tea. I am too girlie to do an action sequence, but I wouldn’t mind trying something like what Kareena did in Asoka.”

Playing a vivacious girl in Prince, Jennifer says that working in the film was on top of her list. “I have worked with Darshan before in Ee Bandana and I was always keen on working with him again as he is one of my favourite actors. When Prince came my way, I jumped with happiness,” she says.

So what is it about the Challenging Star that is so appealing? “He is a pleasure to work with. Always smiling and joking around, he also appreciates and encourages his co-stars a lot,” she adds.

Striking the right kind of chemistry with the team is also very important for Jennifer. After working with Om Prakash Rao in Huli, Jennifer says she enjoyed working with the unit and readily accepted the next untitled movie with the same team.

“Being in sync with the team only enhances one’s performance. The new film will see the same team all over again, only this time I will be in a more challenging role,” she signs off.
