Ramesh, who was serving as MUDA Commissioner was transferred on July 1 as Chief Officer for Town Panchayath in Madikeri. Mangalore City Corporation Joint Commissioner Madhukar Gadkar replaced Ramesh. However, Ramesh succeeded in bringing a stay to his transfer through KAT.
When Ramesh arrived at MUDA office on July 28 to take charge, the commissioner’s chamber was locked. However, he took charge and even signed a few files.
On July 29, he broke open the chamber after he failed to get the keys of the chamber. When contacted, Ramesh said that both Gadkar and MUDA Chariman were not reachable. Hence, he did not have other option, but to break open the lock.
