FinMin's assets decline by Rs 2.83 crore

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s net worth, declared for the financial year that ended in March, came down by Rs 2.83 crore. This was due to a reduction in his bank balance in different accounts and disposing of a BMW from his fleet of personal vehicles.

According to details on the PMO website (http://www.pmindia.gov.in/), Jaitley and his wife Sangeeta’s declared assets came down to Rs 69.13 crore in 2015-16. However, comparing his declaration for 2014-15 and 2015-16, the value of his immovable assets remained unchanged at Rs 35.21 crore.

The website indicates that only Jaitley and Minister for Science and Technology Y S Chowdary, who is from NDA ally TDP, have declared their assets and liabilities.
