Sharathchandra (42) was driving a bus from Bangalore to Bhalki. He suffered cardiac arrest when the vehicle was near Bommagondana Kere in Molakalmur taluk at around 1.30 am. However, the driver brought the bus to a halt in a roadside ditch. Shocked by the abrupt stop, passengers got out of the bus and went to check on the driver only to realise that he was dead.
A case has been registered at the Molakalmuru police station. The passengers were at a loss to express their gratitude to the dutiful driver.
