Last Updated 22 August 2010, 18:11 IST

The frequency of inter-state buses from KGF towards Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh has increased. The Kotilingeshwara temple is also on this stretch. The vehicular density has also increased due to the increase in the devotees who frequent the temple. However, the widening of the road and maintenance work have not been taken in accordance to the increase in vehicular density.

The condition of road connecting Bethamangala is not different. Vehicle users have a harrowing time on this narrow stretch. The authority concerned has not even bothered to take up repair of the road.

A bridge on the Nagashettyhalli stretch is also in bad conditions. The iron roads used in construction have come out posing danger to the vehicles using the stretch.
According to Kotilinga Temple trustee Sambashiva Swamy, thousands of devotees from across India visit the temple. Garbage has been dumped on the either side of the temple making the area shabby and unhygienic he said and asked the PWD to take up the task of  cleaning the area.

According to Kammasandra Gram Panchayat President Kumar, the village comes in between KGF and Bethamangala stretch. And being a religious centre, the authorities should take up the widening work.
