<p>The accused, Shrinivas (30) was arrested on Monday and a fake indentity card recovered from him, they said.<br /><br />Police said the man had been blackmailing government servants posing as a junior office assistant of Lokayukta. He had also cheated people posing as a CBI and Income Tax official.<br />Under the garb of an Income Tax official, he conducted a fake raid at the residence of one Krishna Reddy in 2007 and took away Rs 25 lakh cash, meant for purchasing land.<br /><br />Later Shrinivas was arrested and jailed for three years. He was released on conditional bail in November 2009.<br /><br />Subsequently, he carried out another fake raid on the residence of Joint Director Agriculture and showing a duplicate ID card demanded Rs 25 lakh. He ultimately settled for Rs 10 lakh which he frittered away, they said.<br /><br />A list of various government officials, including those from Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike was found in his possession, police said.</p>
