"A preliminary investigation by Evaluation Registrar of Bangalore Univeristy revealed that B Com paper (4th semester) was leaked out at Mewa College  by its personnel. In this connection, a criminal case has been filed against the college", Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor N Prabhudev.
"We have asked the Central Crime Branch police to investigate the matter," he said.

A sting operation conducted by a local television channel exposed the loopholes in the Bangalore University examination system. The channel reportedly managed to get hold of the 'leaked' Financial Accounting paper-II by 8.15 a.m., sold to them for Rs 3000 by an attendant working in  the college located in Jayanagar.

Apart from selling Question papers, agents involved in the scam reportedly sold empty answer booklets of Bangalore University outside the college campus.
