Prithvi, Abhith lead Bangalore City XI's batting charge

City XI finished Wednesday’s day one of the two-day contest on 338 for nine from their 90 overs, on the back of Raj’s 73 (110b, 10x4) and a patient innings-high 82 (145b, 7x4) from Sudarshan. Md Akbar was the most successful bowler for Raichur with figures of three for 73, while there were two wickets each for Girish Kuntoji, Prashant Salunke and Md Yusuf.
In the other match, Tumkur Zone were dismissed for 265 by Shimoga Zone, who replied with 18 for one when stumps were drawn. Several of the Tumkur batsmen got off to starts but no one kicked on, the highest score being M Jayesh’s 49.
