Actor Prem was at Lakshmi theatre on Chamaraja double road in the city on Sunday to promote his new release ‘Jotegaara’. Amid fans vying to get a glimpse of their favourite hero, Prem, who  has a prefix ‘Lovely star’ spoke to media.

“Before signing any movie, I think about pros and cons. Though the movie saw a delayed release, I didn’t repent. I am very confident of reaping success”, said Prem. He didn’t forget to thank the audience especially Mysoreans, who had earlier encouraged his previous releases ‘Nenapirali’ and ‘Jothe Jotheyali’ that crossed 100 days mark. Incidentally, it was at the same theatre, ‘Jothe...’ saw a successful run.

He denied that he played cameo in ‘Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu’ and ‘Eradane Maduve’ as he didn’t have any other offers. “Being an ardent fan of Shivanna (Shivarajkumar) I agreed to act in ‘Cheluveye’... and ‘Eradane...’ too had big names. Fortunately, both the films have fared well”, said Prem.

Answering a query, Prem said he always strives to offer a family entertainer, without restricting himself to any particular genre.

Moreover, he accepts both success and failure as a part of life. “It’s all in the game”, Prem asserted. Prem will be visiting theatres in Hubli, Shimoga, Gulbarga and other districts as part of the promotional tour.

As soon as Prem entered the balcony section of the theatre, fans — young and old alike — were delirious with joy.

They jostled to shake hands, speak to him and some who couldn’t get any closer switched on their cellphones camera.
