He was speaking on the sidelines of a programme organised at Govardhan Organics Limited at Hangarahalli in Belagola hobli in Srirangapatna taluk.
Sudarshan, who initially denied to comment on political issues pertaining to the State, later said RSS had sent the signatures of nine crore people that was collected in a campaign under the banner of ‘Go Gram Yatra’ to the President.
Prior to that, in the year 1952 too, about 1.7 crore signatures had been collected demanding President’s assent to the bill. “The Centre should take an initiative and implement the bill and all the state governments will follow the suit,” he said.
Participating in the programme, Pejawar mutt seer Sri Vishweshatheertha Swamiji said Udupi Sri Krishna mutt has already launched a programme to conserve cattle and criticised those opposing the implementation of the Bill. MLA S A Ramdas, member of Go Samrudhi National Executive Committee Dr S K Mittal and others were present.
