Delivering the keynote National Association of Software & Service Companies (Nasscom) President Som Mittal said “remote infrastructure management services have significant impact on global infrastructure management services. The sector has been major growth driver for Indian IT services industry in the past few years and has the potential to become third largest revenue contributor to IT services industry by 2020.”

The two-day event will discuss the latest trends in infrastructure management services and creating new business model in the booming technology market. It will also debate on the need for adopting new technologies in creating a cost effective business.

According to Nasscom study, remote infrastructure management (RIM) sector is estimated to have aggregated export revenues of $4.3 billion in FY 2010 and employs 90,000 people in India. It added that it is estimated that by 2020, RIM can contribute more than a third of total IT services revenues for India.

“To sustain and achieve the potential growth the industry needs to find effective measures to ensure technical infrastructure, build a large pool of talent through investment in training, meeting client requirements and best security practices. We will support the industry through its RIM forum,” he added.
