Ashok Harnalli is new Advocate General

 Ashok Harnalli was hitherto serving as the Additional Advocate General. He will now take over as the AG from Uday Holla, who resigned from his post recently.

Son of former law and parliamentary affairs Minister and Gandhian, Harnalli Ramaswamy, Ashok Harnalli was born on January 29, 1958.

With over 25 years of practice he has dealt with matters related to Central Excise, Customs, Labour, Local body matters, Education, Service, Election Law, Economic Offences, Constitutional matters arising under Prevention of Corruption, Mines & Minerals matters etc. He functioned as a counsel  in the Justice Shivashankara Bhat Commission appointed to investigate the case for the crash of A 320 at Bangalore Airport in 90s.

He had also been counsel for Dental Council for India, Bangalore University.  Institute of Hotel Management, Indian Railways  and other companies apart from teaching Civil Procedure Code, Constitution of India at Shri Jagadguru Renukacharya College of Law for four years.

He has also conducted service matters on behalf of Postal and Telegraph Department, BSNL, National Council for Teachers Education, Department of Audit and Accounts, Accountant General Office, service matters of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike and several other matters.
