KSDL to increase exports to Rs 10 crore

“We have the capacity to grow big and have the potential to increase our turnover from Rs 200 crore to Rs 1,000 crore,” he exuded confidence.

Speaking at the launch of new products by the KSDL, Vishwanath stated that the company which currently has an export of Rs seven crore will increase by next year to Rs 10 crore. The two products released in honour of Sir M Visvesvaraya’s 150th birth anniversary were launched in Bangalore on Thursday.

The Mysore Dhoop and Wave Lavender Soap were the two products launched for the Indian and Western markets by the Chairman, Shivram Naik and the MD, Vishwanath.

Formulated in a unique cone shape, the Mysore Dhoop is made out of the waste dust generated after extracting the sandalwood oil. “We are proud to show that what is considered as waste, the sandalwood residue, is the main ingredient in producing this fragrance Dhoop. It is the result of our in-house Research and Development team’s efforts,” he said.
