JOIN US Companies are looking at various options to acquire talent. Google India, considered as one of the most preferred work place in various surveys, has come out with out of the box method to find talent.
Google external referral programme, allows anybody to refer engineers who can work with Google. The amazing part is that it will give an award of Rs 1 lakh for every referral provided they join the company.
When contacted by Deccan Herald Google spokesperson said “We always come out with innovative products; our innovations are not limited to our products. The programme is valid till October 15th 2010.”
According to a data available on Google site the programme is valid only for three requisitions in Bangalore and Hyderabad for experienced software engineers. “We have a stringent recruiting programme and interviews all the referrals we get will be scrutinized before the final interview,” he added.
Further the website said “If a person becomes eligible for bonus, the company will process the cheque within 30 days of the candidate joining. All payments will be made by cheque in the name of the person referring the candidate and payments are subject to Income Tax as per IT Act, 1961.”
