“Detailed consultations with all the stakeholders are going on for setting up of an empowered mechanism to encourage alternate fuel and electric mobility including hybrid vehicles,” said B S Meena, Secretary, Union Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
Meena also invited automobile and auto component companies in European Union (EU) and specifically, in Germany, to come to India for partnership and R&D cooperation. “I see tremendous possibilities for this between governments of Germany and India,” Meena added.
