Elegance sets weekend mood

Monica wins Miss Elegant title, Bharath Singh Mr Elegant, Sapna Satish Lady Elegant

Sapna Satish, whose simplicity was nothing but confluence of all riches made it to ‘Lady elegant’ title, while chocolate faced Bharath Singh surprised all by emerging ‘Mr Elegant’ at the competitions organised by Mysore District Beauticians Association at Platinum Jubilee hall of Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC and RI), at J K Grounds.

In ‘Miss Elegant’ category Ameena Tabassum with bejeweled look  was declared first runner up,  while Amrina the leggy lass had to be satisfied for second runner up. In ‘Lady elegant’ Lisha Kamath was the first runner up and Yashaswini second runner up.

Mention must be made of Lisha Kamath, who had also won in ‘Best Couple’ contest (second) and ‘best designer’ contest (first prize). In ‘Mr Elegant’ Krupal Singh’ was the first runner and Sooraj second. Monica was firm about punishing those who seek dowry, to a question from the jury that made her way easy to the title. Sapna Satish did deserve for her ‘beauty tips’. To a question on plastic surgery, mincing no words she went on to say; surgery may help retain beauty for today, tomorrow or day after tomorrow, but what counts is natural beauty, to the applause of the gathering. Bharath Singh didn’t hesitate to say he is here only to contest, while winning and losing is secondary, obviously making him the best choice for the title.

Earlier, dancers of Mysore Miracle shaked legs to the medley of songs including the title number of Yash starrer yet to be released Kannada movie ‘Modala Sala’. Prior to this, Xtremes, another dance troupe entertained the gathering with ‘I love you’ a hit number from Yash’s hit movie ‘Moggina Manasu’. Karatekas from Okinawa School of Karate demonstrated martial art. The audience went gaga over Yash, as he set the mood, though he arrived beyond schedule. Ostensibly, fans young and old alike flocked to him only to get his autograph.
