National award winner feted in M'lore

Delivering the presidential address, noted writer Padma Shenoy said that it is noteworthy that a person born in a remote village like Perla in Kasargod could bag a national award for best screenplay. “It is quite common that all writers dream of bagging awards, but it requires excellence to achieve it,” he added.

Vishwa Konkani Vidyarthi Nidhi Secretary Pradeep G Pai said that Gopalakrishna Pai, who authored ‘Swapna Saraswath’ has made the Saraswath community proud. “Let him write more such thought provoking works in future,” he added.  Kodiyala Khaber magazine Editor Mavinakurve Venkatesha Baliga organised the programme.
