Bhim Army’s chief Chandrashekhar Azad is set to contest against Yogi Adityanath in Gorakhpur. Chandrashekhar, who had formed Azad Samaj Party (ASP) in March 2020 had earlier declared that he would challenge Adityanath from wherever the Chief Minister decided to contest. Experts believe that he wants to expand his party to other parts of UP. If Chandrasekhar can succeed in doing that, then he could emerge as a challenger to BSP supremo Mayawati.
