Aamir Khan turns 60: 3 life lessons from the birthday boy

Aamir Khan turns 60 today and was asked on the eve of his birthday if he had six lessons from six decades.

Giving it some thought, Khan said that the first was to forgive and let things go. He spoke to the art of letting go, and how it brings one peace.

The second lesson from the actor is not to be judgemental. He said that is a conscious effort we must all make for harmonious living.

The third lesson Aamir imparted was to realise the importance of family.

Speaking of family, the actor also introduced his new partner, Gauri Spratt. The two have been seeing each other over a year and are in a live-in relationship.

Khan said that Gauri had been introduced to his family and everyone, including his kids, took a liking to her.

Khan has been married to Reena Dutta before, and the two have two kids together. He was then married to Kiran Rao, which ended in 2021, and the couple have a child together.

The actor also went on to share his birthday plans, which were supposed to be a cosy gathering at his place, organised by his family members.

Aamir also went on to say that it was his family's custom to celebrate all occasions, noting that the day he was born was a day before Holi. This year, it has coincided with Holi.

The Lagaan star also said that he does not have any resolutions for his birthday, but always tries to keep learning new things --- and shared that he has been learning singing for the last two years now.
