A web series on male lovers

'Anatomy of a Kaamukan', a mini-web series in Malayalam produced by Ka-cha-ta-tha-pa Originals in association with Tamil director Gautam Vasudev Menon's Ondraga Entertainment, is making waves on social media. Ka-cha-ta-tha-pa is an online content house formed by a group of youngsters from Kochi.

'Anatomy of a Kaamukan', which is the first venture of 'Ka-cha-ta-tha-pa', is officially released through Ondraga Entertainment's YouTube channel and portrays the life and emotions of male lovers across cultures.

Episode one

It is directed by Amal Thamby, who graduated from the Adyar Film Institute. Amal has been working as an associate director in the Tamil industry for the last four years. His earlier work 'I am 22', which is a short film, was exhibited at the International Film Festival of India in Goa in 2014. Amal is a native of Thamarassery, Kozhikode and has now shifted base to Kochi.

"'Anatomy of a Kaamukan' is a content series with the non-linear narrative pattern. The show doesn't have a 'storyline'. Each 10-minute-episode is fresh with a different content. It is designed in a pattern that anyone could view any episode from anywhere. Continuity does not matter here, we are more focused on how the audience relates to the content in a limited time duration," says Amal.

Actor Vishnu Agastya from a  Kochi-based film school is playing the lead role. He has been working as a video jockey for the last seven years and has done plays at Actlab and acted in films like 'Aalorukkam', 'Maradona' and 'Oru Kuprasidha Payyan'.
