He is a sharp shooting professional sniper. She is a lass with a fetish for shooting suicides live. Such then is the bland concoction director Puri Jagannath jumbles up as entertainment with Nenu Naa Rakshasi. That he bills it as film noir is the height of absurdity. Neither does it turn out to be real cinematic experience nor does it pass muster as paisa vasool romantic thriller. Those that trooped into the cinema hall, tricked by the film’s teasers are taken for a royal ride..

As for story, Abhimanya aka Abhi is floored by Meenakshi in a case of love at first sight. But our maiden is more into suicides than romancing the sniper. Soon she gets into suicidal mode herself. As to why and does Mr Sniper save Ms Suicide in the nick of time forms the rest of the sloppy saga. Despite its twists and twirls, racy pace, technical finesse (editing & photography) Puri’s Rakshasi, which seeks to drive home the message that suicide is not the answer to life’s problems.
