<div align="justify">At a time when the national is going though intense debate on secularism and tolerance, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui came out with a strong statement on the social media and articulated the importance of being secular in India.<br /><br />The 42-year-alumnus of National School of Drama, who has acted in several superhit films and his known for his discinct acting style, posted a clip clip titled ‘Sixteen Point Six Six’, that aims at bringing an end to religious discrimination. <br /><br />In the message, he starts with “Hi, I am Nawazuddin Siddiqui" and then went on to add that that he tested his DNA and it was revealed he was 16.66% Hindu,16.66% Muslim,16.66% Sikh,16.66% Buddhist and 16.66% all the other religions in the world. At the end of the video, he finds his soul, which shows he is 100 per cent artiste.<br /><br />Instead of speaking, Siddiqui, who has acted in films like Black Friday, Kahaani, Gangs of Wasseypur, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Manjhi - The Mountain Man and Raees, uses placards in the 20-second video to make his point felt and message sent across. <br /><br />This assumes significance in the wake of the recent statement on Twitter by singer Sonu Nigam in which he said questioned azaan on loudspeakers - following which he received mixed reactions.
