DC requests farmers to provide crop details

Kodagu district Deputy Commissioner P I Sreevidya urged farmers to share details about their crops for the government backed crop survey.

The crop survey will help the government to compile accurate information on crop production and assess crop loss. The information will also be utilised to decide the support price for crops. The farmers should cooperate with the surveyors by providing proper details, she stressed in a press release.

Sreevidya said both citizens and government staff will be part of the survey teams. The farmers should provide the details of agricultural land, contact number and related crop information. The survey number and crop details should be accurate, as it will be considered while disbursing the insurance amount in case of crop loss.

Training on the usage of mobile applications in the survey had been provided to residents.
