FB page opened to campaign against MP Kateel

With Lok Sabha elections round the corner, a few BJP workers have reportedly opened a Facebook page to campaign against Dakshin Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

A section of BJP workers allegedly campaigning against the issue of the party ticket to Kateel.

The Facebook page “Nalin Hatao Karavali Karyakartha Bachao” was opened on July 27. Those who opened the page claim that they are honest workers. The posts have urged not to issue a ticket to Nalin for neglecting party workers and leaders.

There are 1,410 likes for the page with 1,481 people following it. There are posts on delay in implementation of NH works. There are posts containing heated exchange between the followers of MP and those who started the page in a few posts as well.

The posts have proposed the names of BJP state Backward Classes Morcha secretary Satyajith Surathkal, RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat and expelled leader Srikar Prabhu and urging the leadership to announce one among these as candidate. Further, Facebook live video of Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha reacting on the page too has been posted.

Recently, BJP district president and Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor said that an effort is being made to malign the image of MP through social media.
