A goods train that derailed on the outskirts of Mysuru on Friday, disrupted operations of a few passenger trains.
An empty bogie derailed and hit a signal pole at the Railway Goods Shed at 4 pm. Due to the accident, a few passenger trains were delayed by two hours.
The Tirupati Passenger Express, that was scheduled to depart Mysuru Railway station at 5 pm, was delayed by two hours and departed at 7 pm. Similarly, Mayiladuthurai Express departed Mysuru station at 6.05 pm. The train was supposed to leave Mysuru at 4 pm.
However, the officials said, no passenger trains were delayed.
