HDK does not have a note printing machine: Revanna

H D Revanna

Public Works Minister H D Revanna on Sunday said, “Why people drag Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy into all issues? He does not have a note printing machine.”

Reacting to the sugarcane growers' protest in Belagavi district against the chief minister, Revanna told reporters "The whole country knows the problems faced by the cane growers. What can Kumaraswamy do,” he questioned.

Revanna was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of an event to mark Engineer’s Day here.

“The Union government should come to the rescue of the sugarcane growers by announcing minimum support price. It is not right to hold the state government responsible. The farmers should not indulge in torching tractors and stopping lorries transporting sugarcane. I know who are all behind the protest,” he said.

Replying to a question whether G Parameshwara will become the chief minister, Revanna said, “I am not the right person to answer this. The leaders of the coalition partners will take a decision in this regard. I am not the national president of JD(S) to reply this.”
