Heavy rain likely

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in Coastal and Malnad region for three days from Monday.

In a communication to deputy commissioners of Dakshina Kannada and Kodagu districts, the department officials said that some places may receive heavy rains. The monsoon is active once again due to the formation of depression over north-west of Bay of Bengal resulting in the rain in coastal Karnataka and Malnad region.
