MLA L Nagendra on Friday assured Vijayashreepura residents in Mysuru that he will take the initiative to resolve the issue wherein the residents' homes face demolition following a High Court order.
Vijayashreepura residents fear that homes will be demolished as the Karnataka High Court dismissed their petition seeking to quash another order to demolish their houses.
In a meeting with the residents, the MLA said, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy would visit Mysuru next week, and a delegation would meet him seeking redressal.
The MLA also mentioned that he would approach the district in-charge Minister G T Devegowda and request him to take measures to protect the houses of the area's residents.
