In Mumbai's westerb suburb, Malad, a suitcase containing a woman's body was found on Monday.

An aspiring model, Mansi Dixit (20), had been killed and her body was disposed of by hiding it in a suitcase.

Mansi, who hailed from Rajasthan's Kota, had met the accused, Muzammal Sayyed, a college student from Hyderabad, on social media.

They decided to meet in person and during the meeting an argument broke out between the two and Sayyed hit her with a stool.

He then hired a cab to reach Malad to dump the body.

The cab driver alerted police, who immediately formed different teams and checked a CCTV footage from where Sayyed took the cab and zeroed in on him.

He was then arrested by the Bangur Nagar police.

"A case of murder has been lodged and investigations were in progress," Deputy Commissioner of Police Sangramsinh Nishandar said.

Sayyed, who was staying at his Oshiwara flat, has been booked under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
