Attempt to block PM's convoy in Tirupati foiled

The MRPS activists tried to block Singh's motorcade when he was leaving for Tirumala hills from the Padmavathi Guest House here, police said. We used minor force to control the protesters, they added.

The MRPS workers were demanding immediate classification of scheduled castes in Andhra Pradesh. However, Singh's convoy proceeded to Tirumala hills without any hitch.
