A turbulent week followed for airlines after the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, which clamed 270 lives, including 29 people on the ground. Many flights across various airlines and routes were cancelled or diverted due to various reasons, including technical snags and security threats, since the devastating Ahmedabad crash.

Here we take a look at the flights disrupted due to security threats and snags in the past week:

Air India flight to Delhi returned to Phuket after 'security alert' on June 13

A Delhi-bound Air India flight Airbus A320neo returned to Phuket following a security alert.

Additionally, Sixteen long- and ultra-long haul Air India flights were diverted on the same day following Israel launching an attack on Iran and the subsequent closure of the Iranian airspace, the airline said.

The private full service carrier, in a travel advisory also said arrangements are being made to fly passengers to their destinations.

On Friday, Israel launched an attack on Iran's capital Tehran, targeting Iran's nuclear facilities, ballistic missiles factories and military commanders.

Hyderabad-bound Lufthansa flight returned to Frankfurt due to ‘bomb threat’ on June 16

A Lufthansa flight to Hyderabad was forced to make a U-turn and returned to land at Frankfurt Airport due to a bomb threat. Flight LH752 departed from Germany around 14.14 local time on Sunday and was scheduled to land at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in the early hours of Monday but flight tracker data showed a diversion a few hours into the flight.

Delhi-bound IndiGo flight made emergency landing in Nagpur after bomb threat

A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight with 157 passengers on board made an emergency landing in Nagpur on June 17 after receiving a bomb threat. The flight, which originated from Muscat, was on its way to Delhi after its scheduled stop in Kochi.

Delhi-bound Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner from Hong Kong returned to its airport of origin on June 16 within an hour of takeoff after the pilot in command suspected a technical issue. The flight departed from Hong Kong at 12.16 pm (local time) and was scheduled to land in Delhi at 12.20 pm IST.

Air India cancelled 83 flights since the devastating Ahmedabad crash

• On June 17, Air India cancelled six flights due to DGCA's checks.

• Besides, its San Francisco-Kolkata-Mumbai flight had to be terminated at Kolkata because of a problem in the engine of the Boeing 777-200 jetliner.

• Its Ahmedabad-London Gatwick one was cancelled due to unavailability of aircraft, the airline said on Tuesday.

• Air India cancelled its Delhi-Paris flight after some problems were detected during pre-flight checks.

• The other flights cancelled during the day included Bengaluru-London, London-Amritsar, Delhi-Vienna, Delhi-Dubai and Mumbai-San Francisco.
