<p>The Central Board of Secondary Education has constituted a 13-member committee to draw up the criteria for evaluation for Class 12 board exams, officials said.</p>.<p>The Committee, comprising officers from the Education Ministry, CBSE, representatives of schools, University Grants Commission, will decide the objective criteria and submit its report in 10 days.</p>.<p>The CBSE had cancelled the Class 12 examinations on June 1 owing to the raging Covid-19 pandemic, a decision welcomed by the students and parents alike.</p>.<p><strong>Read more: <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/national/bengaluru-boys-shine-in-pm-modis-impromptu-interaction-with-cbse-students-993438.html" target="_blank">Bengaluru boys shine in PM Modi's impromptu interaction with CBSE students</a></strong></p>.<p>The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations also followed suit and cancelled Class 12 exams.</p>.<p>On Friday, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) also announced the cancellation of the Class 12 examination.</p>.<p>“(NIOS) Students will be evaluated based on objective criteria to be announced soon. This will benefit around 1.75 lakh students,” Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said. </p>
