<p> The Delhi Police on Friday questioned the three arrested Jawaharlal Nehru University students together for the first time since a sedition case was filed on February 11.<br /><br /></p>.<p>JNU Students' Union president Kanhaiya Kumar was sent back to Tihar Jail after completion of a day’s police custody on Friday evening. The police told the court that they did not need his further custody.<br /><br />Kumar, Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya have been named in the FIR filed with Vasant Kunj North police station for raising anti-India slogans on February 9. <br /><br />The questioning began at 10.30 am in the presence of Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Prem Nath at RK Puram police station.<br /><br />Kumar, Khalid and Anirban were subjected to two rounds of questioning, with Kumar being confronted with Khalid and Anirban separately in the first round and together in the second.<br /><br /> The police had prepared a questionnaire and their answers were compared to ascertain if there was any discrepancy.<br /><br />Sources said Kumar blamed Khalid for the event. Kumar told the police that he left his hostel room on being told that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was planning to protest against the event.<br /><br />Khalid has so far denied having indulged in any anti-national sloganeering, but admitted to shouting slogans for Kashmir’s freedom.<br /><br /></p>
