Indian Navy has announced how it has prepared for the cyclone. An Akashvani tower was felled as a precautionary measure ahead of Cyclone Biparjoy's landfall. As the cyclone barrels towards the Kutch coast in Gujarat, the government said they have so far evacuated nearly 50,000 people living near the sea in eight districts of the state.
