Four Assamese teenagers, suspected to be Bodo militants, were arrested from a house in Srigandha Kaval here early on Saturday.
The arrests were made by the State Internal Security Division (ISD), along with the Assam Police, in connection with the recent attacks on tribals in Kokhrajar. The suspects are reportedly involved in killing several tribals.
The youths moved to the City fearing arrest and were living in a rented house. All suspects are employed in a pipe and plastic manufacturing unit in Peenya. The house owner, however, was clueless about their activities and said the youths hardly interacted with anyone.
The Assam Police received information that the suspects had moved to Bengaluru and that they were in constant touch with their families.
The suspects are: Tomar Basumatri, Jibal Narsari, Sandan Basumatri and Naseen Basumatri.
