A day after Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Rober Vadra alleged victimisation, Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said the government is not vindictive but the law has to take its own course.

“I don't wish to comment on Robert Vadra. Law will take its course. We don’t discriminate against anybody. We have not harassed any political opponents since we came to power. The law must be allowed to take its course. I don’t want to make any personal comments about anybody,” Naidu said.

Vadra has alleged that he being subjected to political witch-hunt, a counter to the Enforcement Directorate and the Haryana government inquiring into his alleged suspicious land deals.Haryana Minister Anil Vij also jumped to defend the BJP government. “Whatever he has achieved till date is because of politics only. If he is talking about the inquiry, then we don’t have anything to do with it. There is no interference from our side.” “The commission is probing the matter and we have no role in that. It is between the commission and Vadra,” Anil Vij said.
