'I will drink your blood': Daughter brutally beats mother in Haryana; video goes viral

The video of a woman mercilessly beating her mother is being widely shared on social media platforms, eliciting a lot of outrage among those who have seen it. 

After the video went viral, the woman's brother, Amardeep Singh, filed a police complaint alleging that his sister had been holding their mother captive and harassing her mentally and physically to get her property transferred to her name.

According to reports, the incident took place at Modern Saket Colony in Hisar's Azad Nagar in Haryana. The woman has been identified as Rita.

In the three-minute video, she can be seen abusing her mother, bites her  on the thigh, slapping her and then pulling her. She can also be heard saying, "This is fun, I will drink your blood,"

Rita then kicks her mother out of bed, hits her, grabs her hair and continues shouting at her. "You are forcing me to do this," she says.

Reportedly, Rita married one Sanjay Punia, who lives in a village near Rajgarh two years ago, but had returned to her maternal home soon after. He said she then began harassing their mother for property and made her husband live with her and her mother as well, NDTV reported. 

According to the report, the brother has alleged that Rita has held her mother captive in her house because she wanted that transferred to her name.

Meanwhile, police has registered a case against the woman.

"We received complaint from one Amardeep Singh that his sister holds their mother captive, beats her up and verbally abuses her; she is also issuing life threats. We have registered a case in this regard. Further action is being taken...We have invoked Sections 115, 127(2), 296, 351(3) of BNS and Section 24 of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act…," Inspector Sadhu Ram, Azad Nagar Police Station SHO, told news agency ANI.
