Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Thursday fulfilled a request for a selfie from a young entrepreneur from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district during his public rally at Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium.

Nazim Nazir, who hails from Pulwama and is an apiculturist, spoke to the Prime Minister about his journey as an entrepreneur at the event and requested him for a selfie and the PM obliged.

“A memorable selfie with my friend Nazim. I was impressed by the good work he’s doing. At the public meeting he requested a selfie and was happy to meet him. My best wishes for his future endeavours,” Modi wrote on X while posting the picture.

Earlier, Nazir said that he had started his beekeeping business in 2018 when he was in Class 10. “I took a Rs 5 lakh loan under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Program. With this, I bought 25 bee boxes with a 50 per cent subsidy,” he said.

Nazim started his website in 2020 and now sells over 1000 kg of honey every year.

While lauding Nazim’s efforts, Modi during his interaction said, “We have heard about White Revolution and Green Revolution. But today, due to youngsters like Nazim, our Kashmir is witnessing a Sweet Revolution.”
