Karnataka: Eco-friendly crackers which turn into plants being made in Mangaluru

Unique eco-friendly crackers which do not give out smoke or sound, rather turn into plant once they are planted in the soil are being made by an organization called ‘Paper Seed’ in Mangaluru ahead of Diwali. It’s a unique idea to avoid pollution during the festive season and use these eco-friendly crackers.

An employee at the organization said, “You cannot burn these crackers but have to plant them and see different varieties of plants come out of these crackers. They can be used as gifts to people and would avoid pollution.”
