2 sentenced in bribery cases

On August 27 2009, the Principal District Sessions Court  sentenced  R R Shiristedar, a Taluk Officer from Dodballapura  to one year rigorous imprisonment and Rs 5,000 in fine.

While, S M Vijaykumar, Revenue Inspector in Vijaypura, Devanhalli, was sentenced to six months of simple jail time and Rs 500 for his offense on September 8 2009.
Shiristedar was caught taking a bribe of Rs 5,000 from H C Anand from Hosahalli for a transfer of Khatha on a portion of land in Nagenahalli village, Dodballapura taluk on March 10 2006. While Vijaykumar was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000 from M Shamanna for changing of the Khatha of a land in Vijayapura on August 1 2002 . The official was trapped in Devanhalli taluk, Bangalore rural.
