4,200 feet long Kannada flag taken out in procession

The residents in Rabakavi-Banahatti celebrated the 62nd Kannada Rajyotsava on Wednesday in a special manner.

4,200 feet long Kannada flag was taken out in a procession through the main streets of the towns. Scores of people enthusiastically took part in the procession which started from SRA College in Banahatti and ended at M V Pattan school ground in Rabakavi.

Yallatti's Konnur Science PU College, Rabakavi Kotrashetti School, SRA College students and scores of people carried the flag, raising slogans in favour of Kannada during the procession.

Ramapur Kuruhinashetti Samaja Swamiji, litterateur Jayavant Kadadevaru, principal Basavaraj Konnur, M S Badami, Dr Ravi Jamkhandi, Mallikarjun Nashi and others were present during the flagging off the procession.
