He was 80.
He had served as the treasurer, secretary and president of Canara educational institutions for about 37 years.
Born on August 14, 1929, he obtained his degree in Automobile Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology and got trained in Ford, England. Later, he worked for P V Pai and Co, Ramakrisha Oil Mills and Great Durbar Beedi.
