The Union government has approved to provide air connectivity to five prominent cities from Mysuru Airport, under it’s Ude Desh ka Aam Nagarik (UDAN)-3.
According to sources, three airline operators have come forward to provide the service at affordable prices.
Six aircraft will fly between Mysuru and five other cities. While two aircrafts will fly to Hyderabad, one flight each to Belagavi, Panaji, Kochi and Bengaluru, will be operated. Airlines operators — Alliance Airline, Turbo Mega and Indigo Airlines — have come forward to offer the services.
MP Pratap Simha said the Union Civil Aviation Ministry has approved to operate flights under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) on Friday.
The flights will start operating in a couple of months, the MP said.
