Ananth Kumar's ashes immersed in Cauvery

The ashes of Union Minister Ananth Kumar were immersed at Paschimavahini, in River Cauvery, in Srirangapatna, Mandya district, on Wednesday.

Ananth Kumar’s brother Nandakumar performed the rituals as per the Brahmin custom. BJP workers gathered in large numbers and chanted ‘Ananth Kumar amar rahe....’. Several BJP leaders attended the ritual. MPs Prahlad Joshi and Pratap Simha, MLAs S A Ramdas, Uday Garudachar, L Nagendra, BJP leaders K Balaram, K S Nanjundegowda and others were present. Ananth Kumar lost his battle to cancer at a hospital in Bengaluru on Monday.
