Ban on heavy vehicles on Balebare Ghat

The district administration has banned the movement of heavy traffic vehicles on Balebare Ghat (State Highway 52) with immediate effect.

Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Mary Francis said that the movement of heavy vehicles will damage roads and bridges on the stretch. All heavy vehicles, including tankers, fish cargo containers, long chassis vehicles, multi-axle trucks and truck trailers are banned on the stretch, she added.
