19 Ethiopian children undergo free heart surgeries in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Nineteen Ethiopian children have received life-saving heart surgeries free of cost at the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research in Bengaluru. This initiative was carried out under the banner of Rotary Bangalore Midtown and the Rotary Needy Heart Foundation.

Ethiopia faces major challenges in accessing medical facilities and resources to treat congenital heart conditions, leaving many children without essential care.

Of the 19 children, 15 underwent surgeries in previous years and have fully recovered. This year, an additional four children with severe cardiovascular conditions received treatment at the institute, Rotary Bangalore Midtown confirmed.
