<p>The Bangalore School of Music, in collaboration with the Austrian Embassy, New Delhi and Austrian Cultural Forum is organising a music concert by the ‘Widerkehr Trio Wien’ (Austria) on November 6, 7.30 pm at the Bangalore School of Music Auditorium, CBI Main Road, RT Nagar. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Thomas Frey, Hubert Kerschbaumer and Matthias Kronsteiner form the trio. The ‘Widerkehr Trio’ was founded by Thomas Frey, Hubert Kerschbaumer and Matthias Kronsteiner during their studies at the Anton Bruckner University (Linz). <br /><br />It was aimed at discovering and spreading music for the unconventional instrumentation of flute, clarinet and bassoon. Another main focus was on commissioning contemporary composers to broaden the repertoire with exciting works. Soon, their work was recognised at the ‘Gradus ad Parnassum Competition’. <br /><br />The trio also formed the nucleus of several other extended chamber music groups like the ‘Ensemble Danube 2135’ that took part, amongst other European festivals in the Bregenzer Festspiele.
