<p>Bengaluru: A scooter driven by Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar recently during an inspection of the Hebbal flyover loop had pending traffic fines of Rs 18,500. </p><p>On August 5, Shivakumar on X posted the video of him driving the Honda Dio bearing the registration number KA04 JZ2087. </p><p>"The Hebbal flyover loop is set to open, easing traffic congestion and ensuring smoother and faster commutes as a part of our government's commitment to building a better Bengaluru," he wrote on X. </p>.<p>When the registration number was cross-checked on the Karnataka State Police (KSP) app, it was found that the scooter had Rs 18,500 as pending fines for 34 separate violations. </p><p>The JD (S) had posted on X calling out the Deputy Chief Minister for driving a scooter with such a large amount of pending fines. </p><p>However, when DH checked at around 9.40 pm, the app showed that no fines were pending, meaning dues were cleared after being called out. In the evening, the portal had shown that fines were due. </p><p>It wasn't immediately clear if the scooter belonged to Shivakumar or he had borrowed it from one of his party men and who cleared the dues. </p>
